Inlays and Onlays
Replacing large fillings on back teeth often require a stronger and properly contoured restoration. These are called inlays or onlays depending on their size. These restorations are fabricated using Cerec technology in just minutes, instead of weeks when using a traditional dental lab. They are bonded into place for increased strength. Onlays protect teeth similarly as crowns but conserve more natural tooth structure. If much is missing a crown is usually required. Crowns and onlays should provide decades of service. For smaller restorations Dr. Jeppson recommends a direct bonded resin "white fillings".
Laser Dentistry
Jeppson Dental uses cutting edge laser technology to eliminate the pain normally associated with visits to the dentist.
Laser dentistry can be used to relieve tooth pain, gum pain as well as many cosmetic dentistry procedures such as gum lifts and gingival contouring. Lasers are also proving to be very effective in fighting gum disease. They are a very gentle way to treat the tissues and promote healing immediately following treatment. We strive to stay ahead of the pack in technology and convenience to our patients.
Digital X-ray decreases radiation received by up to 60%. Because of this we can take enough images to accurately diagnose your conditions without worry. The digital images we obtain can be displayed and viewed using the latest software to see the finest details. The digital sensors have more comfortable rounded corners, and we have smaller sensors for you with smaller mouths.
