New patient exam
Six chairs, one building, and no referral across town unless it is genuinely better for you.
Check-ups, hygienist cleans, fillings and sealants. The ordinary work that keeps the expensive work away.
Veneers, bonding and in-chair whitening. You see a mock-up before anything becomes permanent.
Same-day crowns milled here in the practice, and implants placed and restored under one roof.
Straightening for adults and teens, starting with a scan instead of a mouthful of impression putty.
First visits from age one. Nobody gets held down, and nobody leaves frightened of the next one.
Chipped, knocked out, or throbbing since 2am, call and we will find you a slot the same day.
So we built the practice around the parts that usually go wrong.
A practice you can stay with, from a toddler’s first visit to a grandparent’s implants.
From a first look at age one to sealants at eleven. We keep it short, we explain the buzzy thing before we use it, and we never spring anything on them.
Book the whole family into one afternoon. Cleanings, fillings, whitening and aligners, with the same dentist keeping an eye on all of it.
Dentures that fit, implants that last, and careful work around dry mouth, medication and gum recession. Ground-floor surgery, step-free access.
The whole first appointment is arranged so that nothing after it is a surprise.
Fifteen minutes, sitting up and fully dressed, before anyone goes near your mouth. If it has been years, say so. We have heard it before and nobody is going to tut.
A full exam and X-rays, put up on the monitor so you can see what we are seeing. You get to ask what every shadow means.
What needs doing now, what can wait, and what each option costs with and without insurance. You take it home. Nobody asks you to decide in the chair.
Adam has been practising for eighteen years, the last twelve of them on this street. He took over Alderwood in 2019 and spent the first year replacing every chair, every X-ray unit, and most of the scheduling, because the previous owner ran fifteen-minute appointments and he does not believe in them.
He sees every new patient personally, and he is the one who writes your estimate.
I had not seen a dentist in nine years because of one bad experience as a teenager. Adam let me sit in the chair for ten minutes without doing anything at all, just to prove he would. Three fillings later and I am no longer frightened of the building.

The estimate they gave me was the amount I paid. That sounds like a low bar, and it is, but it is not what happened at either of my last two dentists.

My son cracked a tooth on a Saturday morning. They saw him at eleven, bonded it by noon, and did not charge me an emergency rate for the privilege.

Cost is the second reason people put the dentist off. So here is ours, before you have to ask.
Delta, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Guardian and more. We file the claim for you, and chase it if it stalls.
Our in-house plan covers two cleanings, two exams, X-rays, and 20% off everything else. No deductible, no annual cap.
Every routine treatment has a price on the estimate sheet before you agree to it. Ask for the sheet at reception.
For implants, orthodontics and larger plans, through CareCredit and Sunbit. Applying takes about two minutes.
If yours is not here, phone us. Reception can answer most of it without putting you through to anybody.
No. You will get an exam and a plan. Where you have been for the last decade is genuinely not interesting to us, what happens next is. Most of our new patients arrive after a long gap, and that is exactly the practice we set out to run.
The new patient exam and X-rays are $59. After that you get a written estimate covering everything we found, with your insurance already applied, and you take it home with you. Nothing is booked until you say so.
We are in-network with most major PPO plans, including Delta, Cigna, Aetna, MetLife and Guardian, and we file out-of-network claims for the rest. Call with your card and we will tell you your actual out-of-pocket before you come in.
Tell us when you book and we will schedule extra time. You can bring somebody with you, keep your headphones in, and agree a stop signal with the dentist before she starts. Nitrous oxide and oral sedation are both available, and it costs nothing to discuss them.
For pain, a break, or a knocked-out tooth, yes, call before 3pm and we keep same-day emergency slots open every weekday. Routine appointments are usually within the week.
From age one. Children under six are seen in the morning while the practice is quiet, and a first visit is a ride in the chair and a count of the teeth. Nothing else happens unless they are happy.
Leave your details and reception will call you back the same working day with a time that suits you. If it is urgent, phone instead. That is faster.
